The Shorthorn Society’s Autumn Show and Sale took place at Beeston Castle Auction on Friday 28th October in conjunction with the month end Dairy Sale. There was only a small entry but demand was clearly evident and many more could have been sold such was the demand.

On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP presented 20 pedigree Dairy Shorthorn cattle, comprising of the annual draft of heifers from the Weardale based New Park herd and Shap based Waters herd.

Auctioneers Wright Marshall Ltd held the Annual Spring Show and Sale for the Dairy Shorthorn Society at Beeston last Friday, the total catalogued entry of 173 Head being supplemented by the first sale to disperse the Northumberland based Whitchester Herd, on behalf of Mr and Mrs C Hall.
